The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the retail store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively, and is a relationship builder. The successful candidate will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and support and manage staff effectively. This role reports to the Store Director.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


- Organize and oversee the schedules, work duties, and tasks of store staff.

- Handle sales floor needs with client advisors as needed and in accordance with company policy. Partner with Store Director to address issues or needs for the team.

- Supervise external staff (e.g. Security team) and partner with Store Director if there is a need for improvement.

- Act as Store Director in their absence, being the go-to person for client advisors and clients when issues arise and a Director is not available to assist.

- Participate in employee recruitment, performance reviews, and dismissal.

- Complete designated HR courses to become HR proficient.

- Participate in annual HR and Cultural Sensitivity training as requested.


Duties/Responsibilities:


- Fulfill all duties required of a Client Advisors when needed, such as providing floor coverage, helping clients on the sales floor, partnering with Client Advisors during appointments, etc.

- Open and close the store, ensuring all opening and closing duties are completed.

- Assist the Store Director in planning and directing the daily operations of the store. Oversee sales staff to ensure daily tasks are completed.

- Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient.

- Responsible for accurate POS closing reports and bank deposits.

- Work with Store Director to ensure all products are represented in-store, regularly check backstock.

- Conduct weekly inventory for buyer of replenishment items for reorder to ensure replenishable items are always in stock.

- Responsible for inventory control, including but not limited to loss prevention, assisting in cycle counts and reconciliation, bag checks, etc.

- Cultivate client relationships through networking and creating/hosting in-store events that drive sales and foster strong client relationship building.

- Assist Store Director in organizing, planning, and implementing sales and marketing strategies.

- Support ongoing learning and development of staff.

- Help create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment.

- Perform other duties as required.

- Ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines.

- Significant experience in retail business.

- Strong leadership, interpersonal, management, customer service, and multitasking skills.
