Front Desk and Billing Assistant - Temp (3-5 months)
Duration: Temporary (Estimated 3–5 Months) Location: On-site Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented individual to join our team immediately to cover a staff leave of absence. This is a temporary, at-will assignment with an expected duration of three to five months.
· Reception: Greet and register patients in a friendly and professional manner.
· Scheduling: Schedule and confirm appointments, and coordinate patient intake from referring agencies.
· Communication: Answer and direct phone calls, take accurate messages, and monitor the general office email account.
· Confidentiality: Create patient accounts and maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with office protocols.
· Payment Processing: Verify patient accounts and collect payments in full, including credit card transactions.
· Accounts Receivable: Review and reconcile patient ledgers and balances.
· Billing Support: Assist with billing data entry, collections, and making outbound calls to patients regarding their statements.
· Deposits: Prepare and process daily deposits to ensure financial accuracy.
· Office Maintenance: Order office supplies, maintain inventory, and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
· Support Tasks: Assist with document scanning, mail distribution, and other administrative tasks as needed to achieve team goals.
· Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or billing company is required.
· Language Skills: Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese is a mandatory qualification.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong organizational skills.
· Professionalism: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
· Attendance: Must be available for immediate start and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Employment Status: This position is a temporary assignment intended to cover a leave of absence. Please be advised that employment in California is "at-will," meaning that either the employee or the employer may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or advance notice. Successful completion of this temporary assignment does not guarantee a transition to a regular full-time position.
$21 - $24 per hour
