Operations Management
- Direct and manage all manufacturing, processing, and distribution activities to ensure production targets are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production and distribution processes.
- Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies, including state cannabis regulations and OSHA standards.
- Optimize production schedules and workflows to maximize output while maintaining product quality and consistency.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all manufacturing equipment and facilities.
Inventory and Quality Control
- Manage and track all raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory using seed-to-sale tracking systems.
- Implement robust quality control measures to ensure all products meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with cultivation and sales teams to align production forecasts with market demand.
- Minimize waste and loss in all stages of the manufacturing process.
Team Leadership and Management
- Recruit, train, and manage all manufacturing and distribution personnel.
- Foster a positive, productive, and safe working environment.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and implement professional development plans for the team.
- Schedule shifts and manage labor resources effectively.
Qualifications, Required Experience, and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or operations management role, preferably within the cannabis, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated CPG industry.
- Proven experience in managing distribution logistics and complex inventory systems.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance within the cannabis industry is highly preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with seed-to-sale tracking software (e.g., Metrc, Leaf Data).
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits package includes Medical, Dental and Vision. Employer covers 50% of Medical Insurance plan elected/Employee is responsible for 50% (the remainder) of Medical Plan Cost. 401K Retirement Program via Cal-Saver.
