The Center Assistant supports students and helps create a positive, organized, and encouraging learning environment. This role includes grading worksheets, preparing classwork and homework, assisting students with individualized instruction, supporting Kumon Connect, and providing excellent service to students and families. Description

Responsibilities

  • Grade student classwork and homework accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare worksheets and classroom materials
  • Support students while encouraging independent learning using the Kumon Method
  • Help students develop positive study habits, focus, and confidence
  • Assist early learners with worksheets and classroom routines
  • Welcome students and families with friendly, professional customer service
  • Assist with homework exchange, attendance, and basic front desk duties
  • Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe learning environment
  • Use Kumon Connect, iPads, and other technology as part of daily center operations
  • Protect student confidentiality at all times
  • Perform additional classroom and administrative tasks as assigned


Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children
  • Has strong Math and/or Reading skills (high school level)
  • Is dependable, punctual, and maintains consistent attendance
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Is willing to learn, accept feedback, and grow
  • Is organized, adaptable, and takes initiative
  • Is comfortable using technology, including Kumon Connect and iPad systems
  • Is available to work afternoon and evening class hours

Former/current Kumon students and educators are strongly preferred.

Schedule

  • Part-time afternoon and evening hours.

Salary

$14 - $17 per hour
