K2 is hiring an Operational Planner (Journeyman) to support the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) J44 Engineering Division at Camp H.M. Smith, HI. This role supports the development of Joint engineer support plans, technical analysis for contingency and crisis action operations, and force laydown across the Indo-Pacific theater.

You will work directly with senior J44 leaders to shape the Joint engineer force requirements that back the Theater Posture Plan (TPP), exercises, and contingency operations across Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Army, MDA, and partner components.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. Provide analytical engineer assessments and recommendations for operational planning teams, crisis action teams, and current operations.
2. Conduct force laydown analysis to identify facility and engineering requirements needed to meet Joint operational effects.
3. Analyze and recommend courses of action to J44 senior leaders for engineer activities across the Indo-Pacific theater.
4. Develop Joint engineer support plans integrated with the INDOPACOM family of plans (OPLANs, Theater Campaign Plan, Logistics Support Plan).
5. Build processes and business rules to track and assess engineer operations and activities across the theater.
6. Monitor and review strategies, doctrine, policies, and directives to ensure planning compliance.
7. Develop briefings and support the transition of concepts to execution.
8. Assist coordination of joint operational planning for training, exercises, combat, and contingency plans.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Active Top Secret / SCI clearance
2. Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent military or professional experience
3. Demonstrated experience in operational planning at the joint, service, or combatant command level
4. Working knowledge of the Joint Planning Process (JPP) and OPLAN / CONPLAN development
5. Ability to work on-site full-time at Camp H.M. Smith, HI

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Prior experience supporting INDOPACOM, PACOM component commands, or Joint engineer operations
2. Familiarity with Theater Campaign Plan (TCP) and Theater Posture Plan (TPP) development
3. Background in engineer force structure, force laydown, or facility requirements analysis
4. Amphibious planning experience
5. Experience integrating cyberspace capabilities into deliberate or crisis action planning
