The Associate Product Specialist, at this ground breaking startup company will be reporting to the Area Director of Sales at Koya Medical, is responsible for supporting sales activities in the D.C. metro territory or Connecticut, including conducting clinical presentations, patient demonstrations and trainings in clinics, facilitating pull-through activities such as document collection (e.g., patient authorization, prescription and medical records) and finalizing the sale. About the Role:
As an Associate Product Specialist you can earn up to $6,000 in commission per month, based on performance. You will educate physicians, clinicians and patients about Koya Medical’s Dayspring devices and perform the following core responsibilities:
· Work with physicians, therapists and other clinicians to increase awareness and educate on the Dayspring System and other products and services offered by Koya Medical.
· Perform sales presentations and product demonstrations to clinical staff as well as organizing and leading local trade shows and meetings.
· Review required documentation with patients and answer any questions to support the product sales and medical claims reimbursement processes.
· Coordinate and conduct patient demonstrations and training, including making and confirming appointments, bringing all necessary equipment and supplies, and measuring/fitting patients.
· Educate the patient and/or caregiver in all aspects of device use, including donning and doffing of garments, use of controller and app, adhering to product instructions, initiating a therapy session and providing general product support.
· Assist the Product Specialist with sales strategies and execution to achieve/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
· Provide customer support through training and education about lymphedema and venous disorders, treatment protocols, reimbursement requirements, etc.
· Comply with all appropriate federal and state regulatory requirements, including HIPAA Qualifications, Stark Law, Sunshine Act, etc.
· Travel within the target territory.
About You:
· Bachelor’s degree in a health or science major or health related certification or equivalent work experience.
· 2-5 years of experience in home medical /durable medical equipment sales that includes both clinic/physician and patient facing role. Strong working proficiency of health care coverage and reimbursement process in order to facilitate product access to patients.
· Previous sales experience required in lieu of required experience or education or at the Company’s discretion.
· Not required but a plus:
o Creative and successful introduction of new or novel products or portfolios
o Current contacts and relationships with clinicians (oncology and vascular) and therapists who treat lymphedema and venous disease
o Experience selling in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other government-affiliated health care systems (e.g., Indian Health Systems)
· Other relevant experiences and attributes:

o Functional proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite of products
