Overview
The Recruitment Coordinator performs a critical role in the recruitment efforts of clinical trials and is responsible for qualifying potential participants and facilitating their connection to a study site for a clinical trial in rare diseases. The candidate will manage incoming leads and maintain the CRM platform, among other responsibilities. The recruitment process for clinical trials in rare diseases faces unique challenges. The ideal candidate for this role is a flexible, self-starter who is people-oriented, compassionate, and an excellent communicator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Initiating contact and following up with potential subject inquiries via email, text, and phone calls
- Conduct potential subject pre-screening calls based on study inclusion/exclusion criteria to match potential subject inquiries with clinical trials
- Manage the customer support chat and inbox
- Maintaining the CRM platform to reflect the most up-to-date inquiries status
- Serve as a liaison between potential subjects, study centers, and sponsor/CRO
- Contribute ideas for how we can continuously test and learn, in order to maximize performance
- Adhere to regulatory guidelines for communications with patients about their health
Candidate Qualifications
- Work requires 2 years of relevant experience within either the clinical research or healthcare industry. Two years of experience can be substituted with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to be able to communicate in a professional manner with potential subjects and study site personnel
- Excellent written and verbal English and Language
- Team player who can also work autonomously
- Possesses experience working with CRM platforms, such as Salesforce or Zendesk Sell
- Ability to demonstrate analytical skills, technical knowledge, and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and turn work around quickly while managing multiple requests
- A willingness to learn and a strong desire to gain knowledge and develop skills to improve work performance including the use of applicable systems and processes
- Clinical research experience preferred
