About Knife and Faulk

Description

The Role

This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment. You understand that what happens in the warehouse directly shapes what happens on-site. A missing piece of equipment, an inaccurate pull, or an overlooked maintenance need can affect an entire event—which is why you verify your work, stay ahead of problems, and communicate quickly when something isn't right.

Whether preparing inventory for a large-scale production, coordinating a load-out under a tight timeline, or restoring equipment after an event, you approach the work with care, precision, and pride in keeping Knife & Faulk's standard intact behind the scenes.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and precisely organized warehouse where every piece of equipment, décor, and supply has a designated place and is consistently returned to it.
  • Pull, verify, stage, and load accurate equipment and supply orders for each event — matching documentation exactly and adjusting for last-minute changes without sacrificing order or accuracy.
  • Oversee the complete return cycle: unload, sort, clean as needed, inspect for damage or wear, restore items to their designated places, and escalate any discrepancies, shortages, or damage immediately.
  • Own inventory integrity through routine counts, verified receiving of deliveries, proactive monitoring of high-use supplies, timely flagging of replenishment needs, and immediate reporting of any shortages, breakage, or loss discovered at any time.
  • Inspect equipment regularly for cleanliness, condition, and function; perform or coordinate minor upkeep and escalate anything requiring professional repair or replacement.
  • Protect company equipment and property through careful, accountable handling, anticipate the needs of event, culinary, and operations teams, remain flexible as details shift, and continually refine warehouse systems for greater reliability and efficiency.

The Standard You Bring

Verifies before assuming

Works from the pull list and event documents rather than memory, checking accuracy before it becomes someone else's problem.

Notices what others walk past

A trained eye for what's out of place, low, or almost due for trouble, caught before it needs to be pointed out.

Owns the outcome all the way through

Follows a task from first pull to final return, treating the result as personal responsibility rather than a hand-off.

Communicates the moment something changes

Raises a shortage, discrepancy, or damaged piece as soon as it's known, rather than letting a small issue sit.

Shows up ready, every time

Dependable in the unglamorous moments — the early call, the long day, the routine count — with the same steadiness as event day itself.

Makes the entire team stronger

Carries the work fully and steps in where the operation needs support, understanding that a seamless event is a team effort.

Schedule & Availability

This is an event-driven role requiring flexibility for daytime, evening, weekend, holiday, and extended-hour schedules based on event and production needs.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse, catering, hospitality, event, rental, logistics, or operations environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow detailed packing lists, production plans, and event instructions accurately.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs., and perform the physical requirements of warehouse work, equipment loading, and event setup and breakdown.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-moving environments while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and follow-through.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, equipment tracking, or Google Workspace, or the ability to learn new systems quickly.
