This is a contract role (1099) designed to ensure mutual fit, alignment with our processes, and comfort operating in our systems.

What You’ll Do

SEO Strategy & Execution

• Build and own SEO strategies for service-based small businesses
• Perform keyword research, competitive analysis, and content planning
• Create monthly SEO roadmaps with clear KPIs and success metrics
• Collaborate with designers + copywriters to ensure SEO alignment
• Monitor performance and proactively recommend improvements
• Advocate for SEO best practices with clients in a simple, human way

Client Management & Communication

• Act as the primary strategist + point of contact for your accounts
• Lead calls, present insights, simplify complex concepts
• Build long-term trust and guide clients through decision-making
• Identify risks, opportunities, and next steps before clients ask
• Drive results and be the strategic partner clients rely on

Project & Workflow Ownership

• Leads project and board management in Asana with clarity and precision
• Maintain strong documentation and process consistency
• Prevent bottlenecks and keep projects moving with your own tasks and your team’s tasks
• Fully own outcomes with minimal oversight

Paid Ads & Social Strategy (Light Support)

• Provide high-level direction on ad campaigns and social strategy
• Offer messaging + targeting insights
• No in-platform execution required

Who You Are

You'll thrive here if you’re someone who:

• Has 3–5+ years of hands-on SEO experience (agency preferred)
• Is strong across keyword research, on-page SEO, technical fundamentals, and content strategy
• Is fluent with GSC, GA4, and major SEO tools
• Is naturally client-facing, you enjoy conversations, presenting insights, and making an impact
• Truly cares about small business owners and takes pride in helping them grow
• Has a high personal standard for excellence (and thrives being pushed)
• Is proactive, organized, and dependable, you don’t wait for direction
• Manages multiple clients without dropping details
• Loves learning, experimenting, and consistently leveling up
• Works well in a collaborative, fast-moving team and can lead when needed
