Job Overview:

Kingdom Life Church Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Childcare Center Assistant Director to join our team. As the Assistant Director, you will work closely with the Director to oversee the daily operations of our childcare center, ensuring the highest quality of care and education for the children in our program. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about early childhood education, possesses strong leadership skills, and is committed to creating a nurturing and safe environment for our young learners.

Responsibilities:

- Support the Director in developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that meets the developmental needs of children, ensuring a balance of educational and recreational activities

- Assist in supervising and supporting a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations

- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of each child

- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, enrollment, and staff schedules, under the guidance of the Director

- Collaborate with parents and families to understand and address the unique needs of each child

- Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations, including maintaining proper documentation and conducting regular inspections, in collaboration with the Director

- Assist in overseeing the center's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and maintaining financial stability

- Foster positive relationships with community partners, promoting the center's services and building strong connections with local families, under the guidance of the Director

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

- Previous experience in a leadership role in a childcare center or similar setting

- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles, best practices, and curriculum planning

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with children, parents, and staff

- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail

- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team

- Knowledge of licensing and regulatory requirements for childcare centers

- Must be able to pass all required background checks (excluding criminal background checks, as it is prohibited to inquire about criminal backgrounds)

Salary Range: $18 to $21 per hour
