We are looking for a 3 to 5 years experienced security systems site technician or electrical installer. An individual who is familiar with low voltage systems and is willing to learn. The systems we maintain are comprised of basic security devices as well as access control and CCTV devices. Although not limited to these manufacturers, the following are our primary: Lenel, Genetec, Honeywell, Intellicene (Verint), ExacqVision, Axis, Panasonic, Bosch, HID to name a few. 

The position will be primarily work in NY metropolitan areas and Essex County NJ. 

General Requirements:

• General knowledge of low voltage Security, Access Control and CCTV Systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with hand tools. For example: screwdriver, ratchet, pliers, wire cutters, hand saw.
• Ability to work off of a ladder
• Must understand basic measurements such as using a rule or tape measure and working in feet and inches.
• Basic math skills, be able to add, subtract, divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills
• MUST be open to learning and willing to make an effort to remember what you learn and apply it

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; push; pull or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to high places, must have the ability to climb ladders and occasional work in outside weather conditions.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
• This job involves working mostly on low voltage systems with occasional need to interface 110-volt electricity.
• Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and be able to drive at night.
• This position requires the ability to bend and work in tight spaces.
• The employee is required to be available to work on weekends, holidays and after 5 p.m. as necessary. Although it is not frequent that this occurs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Lincoln Technical Institute degree a plus.
• Working experience in the Security Field a plus.
