Overview

Kindred Art Therapy is hiring a Creative Child Therapist to join our flexible, supportive team. We provide leads, supervision, and a collaborative environment so you can focus on doing what you love — helping kids and families heal. Sessions are held in-office, in-home, or in-school settings across Henderson County.

This is a contract position that transitions to a W-2 employee role after building a stable caseload (typically 3–6 months).

What You’ll Do:

• Provide individual therapy to children and families
• Work in flexible settings (office, home, or school based on client needs)
• Collaborate with caregivers, schools, and community partners
• Maintain timely documentation through our secure system
• Deliver trauma-informed, strengths-based care

Compensation & Benefits:

• 60/40 pay split — you keep 60% (sessions billed at $100+/hr)
• Paid clinical supervision for associate-licensed clinicians (LCMHCA, LCSWA, LMFTA)
• Leads provided — no cold marketing required
• Mileage reimbursement for in-home/in-school sessions (optional — remove if not offering)
• Transition to W-2 employment after full caseload is achieved

Who You Are:

• Licensed or associate-licensed mental health professional in North Carolina (LCMHCA, LCMHC, LCSWA, LMFTA, or similar)
• Passionate about working with children (age ranges preferred: [insert if specific])
• Creative, flexible, and trauma-informed
• Comfortable with some local travel to meet client needs
• Bonus: Experience working with high-conflict families or court-involved cases

Pay Range:

$60–$100 per hour (based on billing and caseload)
