Duties
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as required.
- Monitor and record clients' health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Administer first aid and CPR when needed, ensuring safety at all times.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to develop personalized care plans.
- Accurately document care provided on each shift.
- Support memory-enhancement activities for clients as needed.
Requirements:
- First Aid and CPR Certification required.
- Experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or home care is highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Cooking skills to prepare healthy meals tailored to clients' dietary needs.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and social work principles is a plus.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
