Position: Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable PCA to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact in the lives of children by supporting their daily needs and helping them succeed in a structured classroom environment.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, are team-oriented, and want to be part of a meaningful, supportive setting.


About the Classroom (ELWYN Program)

This structured classroom supports young children with disabilities through individualized instruction, adapted learning activities, and social-emotional development.

  • Work alongside a Special Instructor
  • Follow the ELWYN academic calendar
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (SLPs, OTs, PTs, BSCs, and more)


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students
  • Assist with daily routines, personal care, and classroom activities
  • Support implementation of behavioral and instructional strategies
  • Encourage social, emotional, and developmental growth
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapy staff
  • Communicate effectively with team members and caregivers
  • Document daily support and observations as needed


Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children preferred (ASD, special education, or healthcare experience a plus)
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
  • Ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced environment
  • Current PA clearances (or willingness to obtain)
  • Training provided


Schedule

Monday–Friday (following ELWYN school calendar)
