Job Overview:

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Kid Connections, LLC, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in children. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including parents, teachers, and other therapists, to develop individualized treatment plans and interventions. Your main goal will be to improve the communication skills and quality of life for children with speech and language difficulties.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and communication skills in children.

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results, in collaboration with the child's family and other team members.

- Provide direct therapy to children with speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language delays.

- Utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques and interventions to improve communication skills and promote language development.

- Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.

- Educate parents, teachers, and caregivers on strategies to support the child's speech and language goals outside of therapy sessions.

- Collaborate with other professionals, such as occupational therapists and psychologists, to provide comprehensive care for children with complex needs.

Requirements:

- Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.

- ASHA certification and state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

- Prior experience working with children with speech and language disorders is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of speech and language development milestones and typical communication patterns in children.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and their families.

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the child's overall treatment plan.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.

- Respect for diversity and cultural sensitivity in working with children and families from various backgrounds.
