About the Role
KeepingCount and Ximplifi are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing global team. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted accounting partner to a portfolio of U.S.-based clients across a variety of industries, including real estate, short-term rentals, e-commerce, life sciences, and professional services.
This position combines hands-on accounting, client relationship management, financial reporting, process improvement, and mentorship. You'll play a critical role in ensuring accurate financials, supporting business decisions, and helping clients achieve their goals.

What You'll Do
Client Management & Communication
- Serve as the primary accounting contact for a portfolio of U.S.-based clients
- Build strong, trusted relationships through consistent communication and reliable service
- Present financial results and insights clearly and professionally
- Partner with clients to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reports
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Review reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
- Perform account analysis and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Support cash management, restricted cash tracking, trust accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations where applicable
- Assist with sales tax and other compliance-related activities
Leadership & Quality Control
- Review staff accountant work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards
- Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members
- Ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
- Support onboarding of new clients, including cleanup projects, process implementation, and system setup
Advisory & Process Improvement
- Support budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and cash flow analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process enhancements
- Assist with special projects and client advisory initiatives
Technology & Systems
- Utilize cloud-based accounting and operational platforms including QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Gusto, Divvy, HubDoc, ChargeOver, BigTime, Guesty, Streamline, and other business applications
- Adapt quickly to new systems and technologies
- Maintain strong communication and organization within a remote work environment
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience supporting U.S.-based clients or U.S. accounting operations
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience managing month-end close processes
- Experience reviewing the work of junior accountants or bookkeepers
- Advanced QuickBooks Online experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and competing priorities
- Ability to work full-time during U.S. business hours
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred
- CPA or equivalent accounting certification
- Experience in a public accounting firm, CAS practice, or outsourced accounting environment
- Experience with multi-entity accounting
- Experience with restricted cash, trust accounting, escrow accounts, or commingled funds
- Experience supporting real estate, hospitality, property management, or short-term rental clients
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Guesty, Streamline, Hostaway, Track, or similar platforms
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
