As a key member of our sales organization, you will help accelerate our growth by selling outsourced accounting and bookkeeping solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. This role combines traditional outbound prospecting with outside sales techniques, including face-to-face relationship building, local networking, and consultative selling.

 

The ideal candidate thrives in both virtual and in-person environments, excels at identifying client pain points, and delivers value by connecting clients with our tech-enabled accounting services and expert advisory support.

You are a motivated, results-oriented sales professional with a strong foundation in outbound sales and a passion for helping clients solve financial challenges. You’re energized by building relationships, enjoy selling professional services like accounting or CFO advisory, and can manage a territory with autonomy and accountability. Whether you’re conducting Zoom demos or attending local events, you consistently show up with a consultative, client-focused approach


Key Responsibilities


  • Leverage CRM tools (HubSpot) for pipeline and activity tracking
  • Prospect and generate new business through cold calls, emails, in-person meetings, networking events, and referral partnerships
  • Execute the full sales cycle
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand client needs and financial pain points
  • Present KeepingCount’s services — including bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, and CFO advisory — in a clear and consultative manner
  • Develop, maintain, and close a healthy pipeline using CRM tools (HubSpot)
  • Prepare proposals, manage contract processes, and ensure smooth client onboarding
  • Meet or exceed individual sales goals and KPIs
  • Collaborate with internal sales, service delivery, and marketing teams

What You Bring

Experience:


  • 3–5 years of sales experience, ideally in financial services, accounting, or other professional services
  • Proven success in traditional outbound sales
  • Experience selling accounting, bookkeeping, or professional financial services
  • Prior background in accounting or finance (preferred)

Skills:


  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and video communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to align solutions with client needs
  • Organized, self-motivated, and accountable with a consultative sales approach
  • Strong territory management and relationship-building abilities
  • Professional presence and resilience in a quota-driven environment

Technical Proficiency:


  • Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • CRM tools: HubSpot preferred
  • Outreach platforms: Hubspot, Outlook, Zoominfo, Social Media (Instagram, FaceBook, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Familiarity with DocuSign or Ignition

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

$60,000 - $90,000 per year
