Join our team as an Accounting Manager, where you’ll play a key role in leading the day-to-day operations of your team while supporting our clients with accuracy, professionalism, and care. This is a remote, full-time position based in the Philippines, with an initial focus on aligning with your manager's time zone. 

 

About the Role 

As a Accounting Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely completion of all accounting tasks owned by your team. You’ll also provide leadership, mentorship, and support to junior staff to help them reach their fullest potential. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Supervisory Duties: 

 

  • Manage and mentor junior staff working on account reconciliation, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax, and more 
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching 
  • Lead training efforts for new hires and ongoing staff development 
  • Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment 


Client & Team Management: 

 

  • Own timely and accurate completion of all tasks for assigned clients 
  • Coordinate internal work assignments and team priorities 
  • Manage projects and deadlines using our Project Management platform 
  • Hold the team accountable for quality and timeliness 
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and client reports 


Technical & Process Support: 

 

  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile general ledger accounts 
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and analyze financial data 
  • Identify areas for process improvement and lead implementation 
  • Provide support for audits and tax matters 
  • Participate in setting standards and improving workflows 
  • Develop documentation and strengthen internal controls 

 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of accounting principles 
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities 
  • Experience in managing accounting workflows and team supervision 
  • Ability to adapt, take initiative, and lead process improvements 
  • Familiarity with project management and accounting software tools 
  • Must have U.S. accounting experience 

 

Work Schedule 

This is a full-time, remote position for candidates based in the Philippines. 

 

  • Initial 90 days: Work hours must align with your manager’s time zone, which includes working some hours during the 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM night shift (Philippine time) 
  • Post-90 days: Based on performance, you’ll work with your director to set a schedule that includes a 4-hour overlap with your manager’s time zone
