The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a key employee within the company and will provide assessment, programming, training, supervision, and consultation in a center-based clinic environment and in public/private school settings (if this is an interest). The Position Behavior Analyst will provide intervention based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children ranging in age from birth to young adult with autism and other neurodiverse profiles in our clinic setting (with the possibility of a school consultative capacity if this is of interest).


In our center-based clinics, we provide year-round early intervention (ages 2-5) and after-school ABA services (school-aged). We provide individualized programming to best meet our learners’ needs. We collaborate with outside agencies, local early intervention providers, and school-based providers to best meet the needs of our learners and families. Additionally, we provide ongoing school-based consultation and training to local school districts. Experience working within a multi-tiered system of support in schools is preferred, but not required if school-based work is of interest.

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

Required:

  • Active BCBA or BCBA-D certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) in good standing (open to considering a person in training for the right fit)
  • Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) in the State of Vermont as a Behavior Analyst
  • A learner-first focus
  • Engage in regular self-reflection and self-monitoring
  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Philosophy aligned with values of KP

Preferred, but not required:

  • At least two years’ experience working directly with children
  • Experience with or interest in school-based collaborative consultation
  • Experience supervising direct support staff
  • Experience training and collaborating with parents and community agencies


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All applicants must be capable of performing at all times the following functions, which are considered an essential part of day-to-day activities within the clinic at KP and while working in schools.


  • Assess, develop, monitor, and evaluate learner-specific treatment plans
  • Monitor and update skill acquisition and behavior plan in accordance with child’s progression
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently in person, remotely, and in written form with a variety of team members and stakeholders
  • Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians and students in practicum or independent fieldwork who are working with your clients and ensure program fidelity; KP operates with a 20% best practice supervision model set forth by the BACB (based on medical necessity)
  • Conduct behavioral assessments (training available in VB-MAPP, PEAK, EFL, EDSM and more)
  • Provide ongoing, evidence-based parent education and training
  • Participate in the development and implementation of regular staff meetings and staff-wide trainings as assigned
  • Attend and actively participate in regular clinical and supervisory meetings
  • Be present and available as scheduled for clinic and school responsibilities
  • Flexibility with respect to school contract consultation is preferred (training available if limited experience)
  • Maintain client integrity and confidentiality
  • Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports
  • Utilize multiple web-based platforms for team collaboration and practice management.
  • Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by the code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Commitment to training and development related to clinical skills, professional development, ethics and technology, and ongoing training to perform job responsibilities to required standards
  • Complete monthly service hours expectation
