About Kings Against Violence Initiative (KAVI)
KAVI is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) youth-serving organization with a mission to prevent and eliminate interpersonal violence from the lives of young people through advocacy, peer leadership, community mobilization, and social justice.
KAVI promotes community wellness and healing by operating high-impact youth violence prevention and intervention programs in Central Brooklyn. Our programs take place in hospital-based, school, and community settings. We are a fast-paced, rapidly growing nonprofit organization. We seek to build a team composed of individuals who are willing to work hard, be creative, build on opportunities, and think “out of the box”.

Position
The Education & Employment Navigator (EEN) will play a valuable role at KAVI to support participants and clients in identifying and connecting to the wide array of educational and workforce opportunities available in NYC and NYS. The EEN will primarily engage with clients who have experienced an intentional violent injury and their support network. In addition to having knowledge of the NYC human service ecosystem, the position requires creativity, communication and the ability to complete tasks.
Compensation The starting wage for the part-time Education & Employment Navigator position is budgeted for $35-$40/hr.
