Job Type: Full-time, Remote

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Pay: Target of $150,000-$300,000+:

1.      $71,000 minimum biweekly base salary,

2.     33% of pro rata contingent collections paid each payroll,

3.     Bonus true-up to 60% of your collected revenue paid each quarter (uncapped), and

4.     Additional up to 20% originations.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years or more of employment law practice,
  • Experience with EEOC and IDHR,
  • Litigation experience in Cook County and N.D. Ill.,
  • Outstanding attention to detail and written work product,
  • Ability to manage time independently and work remotely,
  • Proficient with using law firm software: Microsoft 365, Clio, Slack, Claude, and OneNote,
  • A record of excellence in Plaintiff’s side employment, whistleblower, and civil rights work, or comparable experience, and
  • A record of empathy for workers’ rights and fighting for justice in and out of court.

 

Job Expectations:

•            Manage your own growing employment docket,

•            Manage the discovery process,

•            Participate in intakes, scheduling, data collection for all cases,

•            Research and write winning briefs that advance the cause of employee rights and civil rights,

•            File and pursue cases in EEOC, IDHR/IDOL,

•            Actively litigate cases in federal and state court,

•            Suggest and implement improvements for all processes,

•            Bill an average minimum of 7.5 hours per week (30 hours per month) on hourly matters,

•            Serve as a mentor to junior attorneys by providing guidance, reviewing work product, sharing litigation strategy, and supporting professional development.
