About Kansas City Scholars Kansas City Scholars (www.kcscholars.org) was designed to change thousands of individual lives and transform the region by preparing our future workforce and contributing to the regional economy. It is a 501(c)(3) college scholarship, persistence, and support organization designed to increase the college completion rate for low- and modest- income students and adult learners across the six-county, bi-state service region. KC Scholars awards traditional college scholarships to high school juniors, adult learner scholarships to adults 18 years and older, and college savings match awards to high school freshman. KC Scholars supports all its awardees throughout the process and during college. KC Scholars’ newest program, Great Jobs KC, provides tuition assistance to approved job training programs in high paying and high-demand industries such as construction, healthcare, information technology, and manufacturing. With the support of Great Jobs KC, adults 18 and older can learn the skills needed in one year or less to earn between $45,000-$85,000. Launched in September 2016, KC Scholars has experienced widespread community engagement and rapid scaling. We now have more than 6,000 Scholars, with over 2,000 scholarship recipients currently in college.

About The Role

 

Reports to:                   Sr. Director of IT

Location:                     Kansas City, MO

Status:                          Exempt, Full-time

Salary:                           Annual salary based on experience

Key Performance Indicators:


  • 85% (or more) of Salesforce users report that their experience is good or excellent.
  • Contribute towards IT’s goal of completing 90% of IT project work on time and within budget.
  • Responsible for executing organizations’ IT CRM system integrations, enhancements, and reporting needs.



Responsibilities

 

Deliver Reliable Solutions & Technology (75%):

  • Administration and support of Salesforce configurations tasks
  • Managing multiple user management setups, profiles, and roles, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and workflow rules.
  • Ability to build and configure Salesforce forms, views, dashboards, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with other CRM Solutions Analysts within the team and ability to direct work on prioritized and assigned tasks.
  • Troubleshoot any production issues for quick resolution.
  • Effective time management skills including the ability to prioritize responsibilities and organize work tasks.
  • Ownership of the customer experience through issue resolution.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to analyze and diagnose systems related problems and issues in industry specific applications.

 

 

Process Improvement & Documentation (20%):

  • Continuously evaluate CRM integrations, processes, and practices, identifying areas of improvement, and implementing enhancements to optimize organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with the Project Manager to identify and implement changes in team processes for quicker and efficient resolution of the prioritized tasks.
  • Help facilitate training and support for users on Salesforce platform and automation processes.
  • Provide timely and accurate project documentation and reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, progress, and achievements.


Financial Acumen (5%):

  • Influence, promote, drive quality improvement, service enhancements, cost reductions, and productivity increases for the team and business systems.
  • Fosters an environment that encourages fiscal responsibility.

 

 

Education & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (computer science, information technology, management of information systems preferred), or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.


Work Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience managing and implementing Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Around 2-4 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce administrator (preferred).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (preferred).
