At Kaia, the Host is the first and last impression for every guest experience. We are looking for warm, energetic, and hospitality-driven individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and genuinely enjoy creating memorable guest experiences. The Host plays a key role in managing the flow of the restaurant, greeting guests with enthusiasm, coordinating seating efficiently, and supporting the front-of-house team to ensure exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
• Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant reservation system
• Accurately quote wait times and communicate updates to guests
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus
• Maintain awareness of table status and seating flow
• Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management regarding guest needs and seating priorities
• Answer phones and assist guests with reservations and general inquiries
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
• Uphold Kaia’s standards of hospitality, professionalism, and guest service at all times

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred
• Previous knowledge and experience using OpenTable strongly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a high-volume environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
