Location: 

This is a travel-based position, with occasional trips required to various locations as dictated by business needs. The role initially focuses on a manufacturing project in Sacramento and transitions to Phoenix, AZ. Ideally, candidates will be based in or willing to relocate to Phoenix.


Position Overview: 

The Industrial Engineer will lead efforts to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation across design, manufacturing, and construction. This role requires a data-driven mindset, a collaborative approach, and a focus on creating scalable, lean systems that support KAEDIX’s long-term growth and strategic goals.


Initially, this position will focus on a project in Sacramento and later transition to Phoenix to support the development of KAEDIX’s growing renovation & development business.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing and construction processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend innovative improvements
  • Develop and implement scalable operational models to support the growth of KAEDIX’s renovation and development business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering, manufacturing, and construction objectives with strategic business goals
  • Create and manage advanced project schedules, work packages, and facility layouts to enhance operational flow
  • Leverage lean principles (Six Sigma, 6S, Kaizen) to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives across all business units
  • Provide technical leadership in process design, data interpretation, and decision-making to improve cost efficiency, quality, and lead-time reduction
  • Establish data-driven metrics and reporting tools to monitor and improve productivity
  • Document and standardize workflows, findings, and recommendations to ensure scalability across future projects


Qualifications: Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Engineering, or Construction Management
  • 3+ years of experience in roles focusing on industrial operations, construction, or manufacturing


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) for modeling manufacturing and construction workflows
  • Advanced knowledge of project management software, including Jira, MS Project, or other agile platforms
  • Expertise in statistical analysis tools and data visualization (e.g., Minitab, Tableau, or Power BI)
  • Familiarity with CAD and BIM software to support facility layout and design
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VBA scripting and pivot table creation, to manage complex datasets
  • Knowledge of automated manufacturing systems and IoT technology for smart construction
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to optimize procurement and supply chain processes
