Key Responsibilities:


1. Leadership and Management:

  •  Lead and mentor a team of architects, designers, and project managers.
  •  Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  •  Oversee all phases of architectural projects from conceptual design to construction administration.
  •  Grow and hire team members to expand the architectural group, ensuring the right mix of skills and experience.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting professional development and continuous learning.


2. Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in mixed-use and residential architecture.
  •  Develop and maintain client relationships to secure new projects.
  •  Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  •  Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies for expanding client base and market presence.


3. Project Oversight and Execution:

  • Actively participate in and lead architectural projects, ensuring high-quality design and execution.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues.
  •  Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.


4. Strategic Growth:

  •  Develop and implement strategies to expand K5 Company's market presence in mixed-use and residential architecture.
  •  Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent K5 Company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  •  Drive the growth of the architectural practice, establishing it as a key component of K5 Company's offerings.


5. Financial Management:

  • Take responsibility for the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the architectural group.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the architectural practice.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement measures to achieve financial targets.
  • Report on financial status and progress to senior management.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Architect in either Florida or Michigan with a minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
  • Proven track record in leading architectural projects, particularly in mixed-use and residential developments.
  • Strong business development skills with the ability to identify and secure new opportunities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing P&L responsibilities and financial planning.
