Encompass Engineering and Surveying is seeking a highly motivated CAD Designer to join our team. This position requires a qualified individual who will assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with land development engineering projects. The CAD Designer will possess strong design capabilities and will be able to work effectively and efficiently in the AutoCAD Civil 3D environment. CAD Designer

Encompass Engineering and Surveying is seeking a highly motivated CAD Designer to join our team. This position requires a qualified individual who will assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with land development engineering projects. The CAD Designer will possess strong design capabilities and will be able to work effectively and efficiently in the AutoCAD Civil 3D environment. In this position, there is opportunity to become a critical team member and be mentored by a group of highly effective designers and engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Design/draft site layout, grading, utilities, and improvements
  • Prepare CAD drawings and plans and various other duties, as necessary
  • Design tasks to include:
  • Site layout, storm drainage, roads, utility infrastructure and erosion and sediment control design
  • Typical projects will require the production of construction plan sets including stormwater, sanitary sewer, and water plans and profiles, grading plans, and erosion control plans

Qualifications

  • Land Development Design: 2 years
  • Ability to work proficiently with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Civil Engineering design and documentation software is required
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Civil 3D land development design
  • Skilled in Civil 3D styles and customization
  • High School education (associates or higher degree in CAD or engineering related fields is a plus)
  • Computer skills required:
  • AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office
  • Able to communicate thoughts and concepts with team members
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Team oriented individual
