Front Desk Supervisor Job Description


A Front Desk supervisor is responsible for managing the client experience and performing clerical tasks within an office setting. Duties include answering phone calls, greeting visitors, organizing files, assisting with inventory management, social media and marketing tasks, customer service, sales, and scheduling appointments. Other responsibilities include managing cash drawers, updating employee schedules, running reports, and maintaining client records. Strong communication, problem-solving, independent self-starter, critical thinking skills and customer service skills are essential for success in this role. This role is part-time, at 20 hours / week, with the goal of growing to a full-time role as business dictates.


Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED

- Experience in receptionist or related field

- Familiarity with phone etiquette and social media

- BLS and/or CPR certification, or ability to acquire it

Salary Expectations:

The average salary for a Front Desk Supervisor is $13.60 per hour in the DSM metro area, with variations based on experience and location. We are in search of a high-level, detail oriented, sales focused, and mature candidate, and candidate will be compensated accordingly.


Education and Training Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in communications, business, or related field is preferred, but not required for office receptionists. Experience with EMR, Google workspace and Apple products is beneficial.


Experience Requirements:

Prior experience in a receptionist or related role, ability to multitask, critical thinking skills, professional demeanor, and customer-oriented attitude are key qualifications for this position.


Salary

$20 - $25 per hour
