About Just Mind Counseling

Just Mind Counseling is an Austin-based husband-and-wife-run mental health practice that provides comprehensive psychological care to adults, couples, teenagers, and children. Teri and Billy Schroeder, the owners, are both therapists and work hard to create an environment that they themselves would want to work in. This means they value the feedback and perspectives of clients and clinicians alike and integrate this to help guide and build Just Mind. They know that people are their happiest, healthiest, and best selves when they know their team values them for who they are. At Just Mind, we strive to build a team with a diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.

Description

Just Mind is seeking a Licensed Children’s Therapist (Part-Time or Full-Time) to join our group counseling practice at our North office location. Applicants must be able to include some evening and/or weekend hours and must have demonstrated training and experience providing counseling and play therapy to children of different ages. Full-time positions would also include work with adults and/or teens.

This is a W2 employee position with a commission structure, and pay is based on a percentage of billed services. All marketing, scheduling, 3rd party billing, and overhead costs are taken care of with opportunities for peer consultation, continuing education, in-house EMDR consultation, and paid EMDR training in exchange for service. We offer health insurance, 401(k) plan with matching, and an annual training stipend for full-time employees. Hours/schedule negotiable, but must be willing to see 20+ clients/week for full-time, or 12+ clients/week for part-time. Employees may have the option to create a ‘hybrid’ work schedule; however, current demand for in-person client work is highest.

Our ideal candidates are dedicated to ongoing growth and learning, with demonstrated areas of specialization and potential longer term interest in working in a group practice setting. We seek therapists who want to work with a diverse range of clients and who are committed to providing inclusive, high quality clinical care that is culturally responsive and LGBTQ+ affirming. This is a great opportunity to engage in private practice-type work within a supportive community of therapists!

If interested, please send a resume and letter of interest. In your letter of interest, please include: (a) reason for your interest in working at a group practice, (b) your clinical specialization/interest areas, (c) your ability to commit meaningfully to inclusive, culturally affirming practice, and (d) your hours availability and schedule/location preferences. Positions would start in early to late fall.
