Position Summary:

Just 4 Kids Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This full-time role is ideal for a candidate experienced in pediatric dentistry and capable of assisting during in-office general anesthesia procedures. We are looking for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, child-centered environment and who brings professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail to every patient interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pediatric dentists with chairside support during exams, restorative procedures, and general anesthesia cases
• Set up, sterilize, and break down operatories in compliance with OSHA and CDC infection control protocols
• Support the anesthesia team during in-office general anesthesia appointments
• Provide behavior guidance and comfort techniques tailored to pediatric patients
• Record clinical notes and treatment in Dentrix Patient Management Software
• Capture diagnostic images, including digital x-rays and intraoral photographs
• Take impressions and assist with lab case preparation as needed
• Provide clear, concise pre- and post-operative instructions to parents or guardians
• Assist in maintaining efficient patient flow and operational readiness
• Participate in ongoing training and continuing education focused on pediatric care and sedation safety

Qualifications:

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent credential required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric dental office, including GA case support preferred
• Familiarity with Dentrix Patient Management Software required
• Valid BLS/CPR certification
• Radiology certification compliant with Virginia state regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Spanish speaking is a plus but not required
• Experience working with anesthesia providers or in surgical settings is a strong asset
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment

Schedule:

• Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Flexibility required on GA days (may begin earlier or extend later than standard hours)
