This role has the overall responsibility for delivering and supporting the implementation of multiple projects, with sub-projects of varying scope and size. You will provide oversight of the product environment and configuration of the system.

We are looking for an organized, analytical, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Implementation Manager. You will provide leadership in a hybrid project management/business analyst role for the implementation and deployment of our QBench software system. 


This customer-facing position manages various functions in the delivery of software and service solutions to ensure accurate and timely completion with high customer satisfaction. Your main tasks will include planning a schedule for implementation, defining goals, and tracking progress towards those goals.  You will also perform detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, overseeing software projects from start to finish, managing and motivating software developers and other team members, and giving customer training presentations. You will be working directly with a wide variety of users helping to resolve their technical questions and issues to help leverage the QBench platform to maximize effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of the lab. You will be responsible for communicating complex technical scenarios and concepts to users and the QBench team. 


To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.


Responsibilities:


  • Plan, lead, organize and control multiple project initiatives in accordance with approved scope and schedule.
  • Plan out the steps of implementations, including reviewing the scope, allocating resources, setting deadlines, laying out communication strategies, adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed for the project change, and meeting project objectives and making adjustments to project constraints based on project analysis. 
  • Participate in and supervise each stage of implementation projects. Serve as a liaison to communicate information regarding changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information to the Customer and internal teams. Build a trusted relationship with client stakeholders and be responsible for driving the day-to-day activities to meet the overall project objectives.
  • Gathering critical information from regular meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.
  • Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long term goals, ensuring each project stays on schedule and adheres to the deadlines.
  • Develop knowledge and maintain continual understanding of designated applications and client business processes and act as a subject matter expert for QBench.
  • Deliver effective training to varied audiences, through webinars and onsite sessions.
  • Determine client needs and make appropriate recommendations for current and future value-added services, products, etc., while coordinating the involvement of all necessary team members.  Provide suitable technical solutions after an end to end analysis of the current business process.
  • Translate business requirements into a robust requirement documentation, such as through identifying functional requirements, use cases, and creating UI prototypes. Help resolve any gaps or ambiguities in documented requirements.  
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.  Serve as first line decision maker for the business including developing ramp up plans and schedules that meet customer requirements, identify risks and develop mitigation plans. Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Complete high-level testing to ensure the solution is functioning per requirements.
  • Gains customer acceptance by understanding and explaining product value propositions and leverages knowledge of laboratory operations.
  • Ensure a smooth transition to the Success and Support teams post go-live.
  • Interface with engineering and product teams regularly to discuss customer feature requests, and other functionality needed to support implementations.
  • Identify scope changes and document those changes for the project.  Work with the team to create new project scope to address customer needs.
  • Interface and coordinate with external vendors as required. Lead cross-functional communication between project teams and vendors.
  • Participate in the pre-sales process to help develop Scope of Work documentation.


Requirements:


  • 3+ years of proven experience in successful project management, focused on software solution implementation, adoption and support.  Scientific workflow-related projects preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel periodically (domestic) in support of client engagements.
  • Organized project management skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, and active listening. 
  • A strong aptitude for problem-solving, negotiation, and mediation skills.
  • Evidence of the ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Proficient at uncovering key business issues and providing insightful, actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to anticipate challenging situations and proactively plan appropriate actions.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex software products.
