To continue operating at our high standards, we are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate. We are seeking a meticulous and responsible property handler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a wide range of artwork, furniture, and one-of-a-kind objects. This role demands strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive and thoughtful approach to working with items that can be fragile, complex in shape and size, and diverse in materiality.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the Inventory Control Specialist to move property throughout the warehouse and between different departments
  • Ensure property locations are updated and accurate in the inventory system
  • Assist with property pick-ups and receipts, specifically loading and unloading packed property, pallets, and crates
  • Partner with the Inventory Control Specialist to open, inspect, and receive property as needed
  • Pull, prepare, and tag property prior to sale for condition reports
  • Move and prepare property post-sale to fulfillment for shipping or release
  • Prepare exhibition spaces including the placement of movable walls, pedestals, platforms and other display materials
  • Install exhibition and property highlights both on-site and at off-site locations as needed
  • Ability to safely operate heavy machinery and warehouse equipment and tools
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exhibition spaces and the warehouse

 

REQUIERMENTS

  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Previous experience with fine art or white glove handling is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak auction season
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ebbs and flows
  • Substantial lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of property is required
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
  • OSHA Forklift Certification is a plus


BENEFITS

  • Compensation: Base Salary ($40,000 - $45,000 based on experience) and Bonus eligible
