Julien's Auctions is seeking an Accounting Associate to support the Head of Finance & Accounting. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both cash and accrual accounting, and has a proven track record for supporting day-to-day bookkeeping needs. We are looking for someone who can use their skills to move our company forward by working on our complex and demanding projects.


Responsibilities

·       The Accounting Associate will work directly for the Head of Finance & Accounting and will also work closely with senior leadership of the Company

·       Accurately post and process journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded

·       Booking accounts payables; manage payables and credit card expenses through our AP system

·       Support accounts receivables and maintain receivables aging reports

·       Prepare supporting schedules accurately

·       Perform bank account reconciliations

·       Support ad hoc financial analyses requested by senior leadership


Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

·       3-5 years’ work experience at a public accounting firm or in an accounting department performing similar work

·       You have a desire to work/partner with the team and anticipate needs

·       You are highly adaptable and don’t get rattled when direction and goals change

·       You are able to maintain a high level of confidentiality

·       You demonstrate an exceptional ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team

·       You have the ability and judgment to seek clarification or assistance when needed

·       Ability to work both independently and as a member of a growing team

·       Demonstrated ability to have high attention to details required

·       Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
