Jubilee Railroad Wilderness Lodge is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Bartender/Server to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences and have a natural ability to connect with guests. You’ll join a culinary and front of house team that's dedicated to creating a destination dining experience centered around regionally-sourced, healthy, quality foods that honor both the land and local farmers.
Our kitchen and restaurant philosophy emphasizes relationships with regional and organic producers, reflecting our commitment to environmental stewardship and community connection. This position offers an opportunity to join our hospitality and restaurant team that is expanding and developing a 43-acre property, featuring historic caboose lodging, vintage cabins, a farm-to-table restaurant, scenic campground facilities, a year-round stream, a meadow for events, and connection to myriad hiking trails.

We are in a densely-forested, spring-fed valley, at the base of a Jurassic-period crystalline rock formation and State Park connected to the Pacific Crest Trail!
Key Responsibilities:

● Remember regular guests' preferred drinks and greet them by name
● Welcome guests with genuine warmth and professional courtesy
● Make knowledgeable menu recommendations based on guest preferences
● Take accurate food and beverage orders, including modifications
● Ensure proper timing and delivery of all courses
● Process payments accurately and efficiently
● Maintain cleanliness of tables and service areas throughout shift
● Craft consistently excellent cocktails with precision and style
● Maintain extensive knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails
● Stay current with seasonal trends and craft beer selections
● Recommend appropriate wine and beer pairings
● Serve drinks efficiently while maintaining quality
● Follow all portions and pricing guidelines
● Create specialty drinks for events or promotions
● Master menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergies
● Stay current on daily specials and their preparations
● Understand and suggest wine and beverage pairings
● Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
● Maintain knowledge of POS systems and payment processing
● Monitor guest alcohol consumption for responsible service
● Verify identification to ensure legal drinking age
● Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked bar
● Process payments accurately and manage cash drawer
● Track inventory and notify management of needed supplies
● Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
● Maintain proper glassware cleanliness and presentation
● Arrive punctually
● Review daily specials and menu changes
● Check station setup and cleanliness
● Stock service stations with necessary supplies
● Prepare garnishes and service items
● Attend pre-shift meetings
● Set up bar station with necessary tools and supplies
● Prepare fresh garnishes and mixers
● Check beer systems and CO2 levels
● Stock ice bins and glassware
● Review daily specials and promotions
● Ensure POS system is ready for service
● Complete assigned side work
● Clean and reset tables for next service
● Restock service stations
● Balance register and complete sales reports
● Assist with cleaning common areas
● Complete closing checklist
● Clean and sanitize all bar equipment and surfaces
● Properly store all bottles and perishable items
● Balance register and complete sales reports

● Empty trash and clean glass washer
● Secure liquor storage areas

● Food Handler's Certification (or ability to obtain)
● Alcohol service certification
● Previous service experience preferred
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with variable schedules.
