Description

1. Compliance Oversight:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program to ensure

adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry

standards.

• Monitor and evaluate compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and

guidelines applicable to the organization's operations.


• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-

compliance and implement corrective actions as needed.


2. Policy Development and Implementation:

• Develop, review, and update organizational policies and procedures to

reflect changes in laws, regulations, and best practices.

• Ensure that policies and procedures are communicated effectively to

employees and stakeholders and are consistently applied throughout the

organization.

• Provide guidance and support to staff on compliance-related matters and

serve as a resource for questions and concerns.


3. Training and Education:

• Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all

levels of the organization.

• Ensure that employees are knowledgeable about compliance requirements

and understand their responsibilities in upholding organizational

standards.

• Monitor and track employee training completion and effectiveness.

4. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

• Identify and assess potential compliance risks facing the organization and

develop strategies to mitigate those risks.

• Collaborate with other departments to implement controls and processes

to reduce the likelihood of compliance breaches.

• Investigate and respond to compliance incidents, including conducting

root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.


5. Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and maintain accurate and thorough documentation of

compliance activities, including audit reports, findings, and resolutions.

• Provide regular reports to senior management and the board of directors

on compliance activities, findings, and trends.

• Ensure that compliance documentation is organized, up-to-date, and

accessible for audits and reviews.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, or related field required; advanced

degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics

Professional, Certified Internal Auditor) preferred.

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related

field, preferably in a nonprofit or healthcare setting.

• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, laws, and industry standards

relevant to the organization's operations.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with

individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of

compliance and integrity.
