Merch/Retail Associate

About The Role

As one of Journey's front-of-house representatives, we are looking for Merch/Retail Associates with welcoming energy to help set the tone for the entire day! These team members are the first to meet and greet the attendees and the last to wave good-bye. Merch/Retail Associates will be responsible for the organization, presentation, and promotion of Journey merchandise, as well as inventory and monetary transactions. This team member must also be ready to provide excellent customer care by maintaining a friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic attitude throughout the entire event. Your engaging and CELEBRATORY vibe should be contagious!

Retail experience is a plus ~ If you are ready to learn, we are willing to train

Work Details: 

• Seasonal Dance Competition 2024 Tour, March-May
• Must be willing to travel by road or air
• Must be 18 or older
• Must be a NJ/NY/PA resident to apply
• Must be available from Friday AM to Sunday PM for travel. Long-distance events may require Thursday PM to Monday AM travel
• Travel from a specified meeting point or airport will be required 
• Minimum commitment 6 of 11 events
• Paid training, travel, double occupancy lodging, and event meals
• Official government ID required
• Background check required

What Winning Looks Like: 

• Responsible for load in and load out of production equipment, as well as the set-up, organization, and breakdown of your respective station
• Organize and display merchandise within Journey brand guidelines
• Maintain a tidy workstation that’s welcoming and appealing 
• Know the Journey products and pricing
• Promote Journey merchandise by sharing information about the quality and affordability of our products
• Count and report inventory, stocking, rotating, and replenishing the merchandise
• Operate the cash register and ensure proper handling of cash, checks, and credit cards  
• Prepare simple daily reports
• Safeguard merchandise and cash
• Capable of lifting 30 lbs without assistance
• Attend to all other duties assigned by the Show Director(s) as needed
