Bloomfilter has a preference the candidate live in Cleveland or Chicago. As a front-end software engineer at Bloomfilter you will use your technical expertise to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain user-facing software solutions.

Software Engineers at Bloomfilter are creating software that aims to change the way software is created! They strive to deliver quality software through a pragmatic mixture of creative problem solving and industry leading best practices.


As a front-end developer, you will use your technical expertise to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain user-facing software solutions. You will also manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables associated with those solutions and participate in agile sprint ceremonies. Front-end software engineers at Bloomfilter work primarily with Typescript and React, but utilize a wide range of supporting tooling, such as React Testing Library, Storybook, Styled Components, and Github.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess new front-end technologies prior to implementation
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web applications
  • Monitor and enhance application and system performance
  • Proactively prevent outages and respond as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members
  • Manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Create technical documentation
  • Attend agile sprint ceremonies


Qualifications

  • Experience designing and developing software in a startup environment
  • Four or more years of experience developing React applications
  • Experience creating advanced charts and graphs from common Javascript charting libraries
  • Experience writing front-end tests with React Testing Library, Cypress and similar testing frameworks
  • Experience managing react components using Storybook
  • Experience with Styled Components
  • Ability to understand complex problems and develop simple solutions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • Experience with agile development methodology
  • Extensive experience writing code with TypeScript
