Description

  • As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a variety of general maintenance and repair duties to maintain the overall care and upkeep at our various properties. Other responsibilities include:
  • Perform general building maintenance including the inspection and performance of maintenance of common areas, building exteriors, tenant suites, roof, supply closets, mechanical rooms, vacant spaces, grounds, parking lots and any other building areas that need maintained.
  • Snow removal at assigned properties.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and service contractors; schedule, coordinate and manage work performed by outside vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Maintains cost effectiveness in building repairs and equipment.
  • Oversees completion and documentation of work orders, ensuring accuracy and detail about materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Adheres to all safety, risk management, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
  • Able to be trained in general maintenance for basic troubleshooting, repair, building and preventive maintenance.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-3 years previous experience in general maintenance preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to carry out work assignments.
  • Experience with basic electrical systems, product manuals, schematics, troubleshooting and reading mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Previous experience in maintenance, HVAC, or general repair knowledge & techniques
  • Have knowledge and experience working with power tools.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and receive additional training and education.
  • Solid work ethic, honest, trustworthy and professional.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact pleasantly with customers.
  • Availability to provide weekend and after-hour building coverage on an on-call basis as needed.
  • Ability to learn to read, comprehend, and draw schematics and diagrams.
  • Ability to learn to give an accurate estimate of time and material necessary for a given project.


Salary

$18 - $23 per hour
