Data Processing Specialist
JH Miles & Associates, Inc. (JHMA) is seeking a talented candidate for full time role as a Data Processing Specialist (classified as a General Clerk II under the SCA Wage Determinations).

* This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position, so the employee will receive no less than the total compensation required by the SCA and listed on the wage determination for the applicable position.

◦ Provide clerical support to the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau’s Alcohol Labeling and Formulation Division.
◦ Process incoming COLA waivers and export certificates.
◦ File natural wine certificates in line with TTB-established standards.
◦ Responsible for preparing and mailing miscellaneous items.
◦ Providing accurate and effective customer service for alcohol beverage industry members via phone and email.
◦ Providing coverage concerning customer telephone and email inquiries.
◦ Retrieving telephone messages at the beginning of each business day.
◦ Distributing the messages to the appropriate TTB and/or other contract employees.
◦ Calls must be answered courteously and accurately, using TTB-established standards when responding to telephone inquiries.
◦ Training on the processing of COLA waivers and export certificates, and the filing of natural wine certificates will be provided.
A prerequisite for this position is that the applicant currently has or recently has had a job that requires a Tier II Public Trust or higher level of background investigation/security clearance.
Education and/or Experience:
◦ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one (1) year of experience and/or training related to the tasks to be carried out under this contract.
Reasoning Skills:
◦ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions generally in a sequence or scheduled work activities occurring on a regular basis.
◦ Ability to prioritize work and research information to complete work, and to multi-task duties.
Computer Skills:
◦ Ability to use a personal computer and associated peripherals and use Microsoft Office 2016.
◦ Ability to use telephone, copy machine, printers, scanning devices, and general office equipment.
Experience:
◦ Federal Contracting: 3 years (Required)
◦ Public Trust Level II background investigation (Required)
