ABOUT THE ROLE

Our oculofacial plastic surgery practice is looking for a friendly, organized Patient Care Specialist who enjoys helping people and has a genuine interest in aesthetic medicine.

This position begins at the front desk, where you will be a welcoming first point of contact for our cosmetic and medical patients. You will help patients feel comfortable, keep the schedule running smoothly, and make sure the details of their visits are handled with care.

We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the practice. As you learn our services and build experience, there is an opportunity to take on more responsibility in cosmetic patient coordination, skincare sales, and support for our aesthetic services. The initial focus is excellent front desk service and reliable day-to-day patient support.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Welcome patients and assist with check-in, check-out, and follow-up appointments.
  • Answer calls with a polite, friendly, and calm manner. Identify patient needs, route clinical questions to the appropriate team member, and follow through on messages.
  • Schedule consultations, office visits, and follow-up care while maintaining an organized, efficient clinic schedule.
  • Verify insurance benefits and help patients understand their copays and other payment responsibilities.
  • Collect copays, consultation fees, and payments for services and skincare products accurately.
  • Maintain accurate patient information and protect patient privacy.
  • Support surgery coordination as needed, including scheduling, paperwork, and communication with patients and surgery centers.
  • Help patients understand the next steps in the care plan recommended by Dr. Murdock, including office-approved preparation and follow-up instructions. Refer medical questions to the clinical team.
  • Learn about our cosmetic services and skincare products so you can help patients explore the options recommended by Dr. Murdock.
  • Support product inventory, promotional events, and social media content as your role develops.
  • Work closely with the team to provide thoughtful service to every patient.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You communicate clearly and professionally with patients and clinical staff. Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates preferred.
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in sales, an aesthetic clinic, a surgical practice, or another healthcare or customer-facing setting is preferred. Additional clinical training or certification (for example, medical assistant) is a plus.
  • You are warm, patient, and professional, including when the practice is busy or a patient needs extra attention.
  • You have strong organizational skills, careful attention to detail, and good time management.
  • You are comfortable using computers and learning scheduling and electronic medical record systems.
  • You have working knowledge of medical terminology, or are eager to learn it, and an interest in aesthetic medicine and cutting-edge cosmetic science.
  • You take initiative, follow through, and enjoy working as part of a small team.

Medical office experience, familiarity with medical terminology, surgery scheduling experience, and experience creating social media posts or reels are helpful.

If you enjoy patient care and are looking for a position with room to grow into the cosmetic side of a medical practice, we would like to hear from you.
