The Visitor Experience Associate works at the front desk in the entry of the Museum. They welcome and direct all visitors and tour groups; maintain a safe and secure environment by enforcing museum policies and procedures; and provide accurate information and assistance in registration for art education classes, tours, music and adult programs.
Point of contact for everyone that enters museum
- Welcome and direct all visitors and tour groups assuring that everyone is treated with respect and courtesy
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for visiting museum guests and special event guests by enforcing museum policies and procedures
- Answer and return phone calls
Assists with security, museum shop maintenance, and customer service
- Assist in executing security procedures, including emergency protocols during museum hours and special events including but not limited to opening and closing
- Responsible for daily maintenance and restocking Museum Shop Inventory, daily sales tracking and opening and closing of POS sales during scheduled shifts
- Provide accurate information and assist in registration for art education classes, tours, music and adult programs, and other services to guests as needed both on-site and over the phone
Promotes and processes new memberships and renewals
- Identifies opportunities to promote memberships to interested parties and process new memberships and renewals
- Implement and uphold safety guidelines, Museum policies and procedures regarding decorum and the Collections Management Policy
Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, or nights as needed. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
