Job Description:

We are seeking passionate, kind, and engaged individuals to join our team as Baristas. Our ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their craft, strives for excellence in every task, and enjoys making meaningful connections with customers. If you have a strong work ethic, a passion for coffee, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we would love to have you on our team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide memorable and impeccable customer service, greeting each customer with a smile.
• Develop personal relationships with customers by learning their names and favorite drinks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance at all times.
• Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee, tea, alcohol and food items, adhering to the highest standards.
• Continually educate yourself on our coffee offerings, tasting products during each shift to refine your palate and troubleshoot any issues.
• Contribute to a positive work environment, helping to guide and train new team members.
• Maintain a pleasant disposition and a sense of urgency while working.
• Identify customer needs and offer relevant products to enhance their experience.
• Follow all cash handling and cash register policies and procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Take ownership of your shift and assignments, always being punctual and responsible.
• Suggest and implement ideas for improving store operations and customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the café.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Possession of a current ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain one upon joining).
• Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions and orders.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move about the café.
• Ability to operate espresso machinery and other equipment.
• Strong communication skills, with fluency in English.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move heavy items as needed.
• Passion for coffee, tea, and great food, and a willingness to share that passion with others.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and potentially more than 40 hours a week as needed.
