As a professional trades solution provider, J2 is dedicated to custom installations, maintenance and repairs with a primary focus on government facilities, commercial buildings, industrial control systems, as well as industrial and commercial electrical needs. J2 Company is hiring a Skilled Electrician with growth opportunities. This individual will have knowledge of construction and underground electrical needs and issues. They will be able to do basic troubleshooting, as well as install, repair and maintain electrical equipment while constantly demonstrating safe work practices. This role will create value by performing installations in Jackson, Tennessee and surrounding areas. Must be able to self-perform as well as work in a team environment and able to mitigate and de-escalated personalities. Project focused and team minded. Some travel may be required.


What Your Role Will Be

Responsibilities:

  • Must be knowledgeable in skilled electrical trade
  • Seasoned Journeyman Electrician experience preferred
  • Must be able to ensure compliance with OSHA safety, health, and quality standards
  • Must be able to manage relationships with coworkers, managers and clients
  • Must be able to specify milestones for success and deliverables
  • Must maintain electrical project oversight to meet project objectives.
  • Will ensure compliance with local, state and federal codes/regulations
  • Must be able to take instruction and give instructions
  • Must present great leadership skills and willingness to help others
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and electronically
  • Is familiar with commercial electrical trade


The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of electrical services
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong knowledge and application of National Electric Code (NEC)
  • OSHA 30, CPR and First Aid trained
  • Construction Quality Control
  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment and hand tools
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, bend, reach for extended period.
  • Must be able to work in cold and hot environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • As determined by “fit for duty” assessment by medical professional.


What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Four (4) year technical degree in electrical field
  • Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, and pumps
  • Experience utilizing a computerized maintenance management system
  • Experience operating a motorized forklift and/or clamp truck
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Experience with PLC controls
