Inventory Lead

Position Summary

The Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing the accurate receipt, storage, organization, and tracking of inventory within the warehouse. This role serves as a key leader on the operations team, ensuring inventory processes are executed efficiently and accurately while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Inventory Lead trains and audits team members, communicates inventory status across departments, and helps maintain a clean, organized, and high-performing warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Operations

  • Oversee the receiving and put-away of incoming inventory to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage inventory placement and organization throughout the warehouse.
  • Conduct and oversee cycle counting activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Weigh inventory and ensure product information is accurately recorded.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify discrepancies for resolution.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Train, coach, and audit team members on receiving, put-away, inventory control, and cycle counting procedures.
  • Promote accountability and adherence to inventory management best practices.
  • Lead the warehouse morning stand-up meeting once per week, reviewing team goals, priorities, and performance metrics.

Communication & Reporting

  • Communicate regularly with the Inventory and Web teams regarding shipment status, inventory updates, and operational priorities.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets and tracking tools used to monitor inventory metrics, goals, and performance.
  • Provide timely reporting and feedback regarding inventory accuracy and warehouse operations.

Warehouse Organization & Maintenance

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Regularly organize, clean, and catalog inventory and warehouse assets.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and workplace organization.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, inventory control, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and inventory tracking systems.
  • Ability to lift and move inventory as required.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing e-commerce environment.

Salary

$15 - $19 per hour
