The iGame Instructor will provide 20-24 hours of iGame to MS & HS students. iGame is an introduction to designing digital games, animation and stories using Scratch and other open source software, along with basic coding skills using Python. Students will create basic video games and animations, including music, and get an introduction to Python. Two iGame Instructor positions available: 1 for in-person classes in Vancouver, WA and 1 for in person classes in Portland, OR, after school between 2:30 – 6:00 pm, two days per week for 8 weeks (Mondays – Thursdays).

Youth receive hands-on exposure to a variety of careers and civic engagement opportunities that step them outside of their current boundaries. Our program goals are to increase awareness and knowledge of STEM+A careers and training, to build confidence and critical thinking, to provide mentorship and internship opportunities, and to create a collaborative learning model for youth.
