Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Restaurant Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests throughout their dining experience. Your duties will include greeting guests, explaining menu items, and customer service. You will take food orders, relay them to the kitchen, and serve them to guests when the orders are complete. Throughout the meal, you will check on guests to ensure satisfaction, refill drinks, and clear tables. You will also assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, as well as, the working areas. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
General Accountabilities:

Greeting Guests: Attendants are often the first point of contact for guests. They welcome guests as they arrive, provide them with menus, and assist them in finding a suitable table.

Taking Orders: Attendants take food and drink orders from guests, ensuring accuracy and noting any special requests or dietary restrictions.

Serving Food and Drinks: Attendants serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring that orders are delivered promptly and correctly. They may also assist in preparing drinks or garnishing dishes as needed.

Checking on Guests: Throughout the meal, attendants check on guests to ensure that they are satisfied with their meals and address any issues or concerns.

Clearing Tables: Attendants clear tables of used dishes, utensils, and glassware promptly after guests have finished their meals.

Setting Tables: Attendants set tables with clean linens, utensils, and glassware before guests arrive, ensuring that each table is properly arranged.

Maintaining Cleanliness: Attendants are responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, including cleaning tables, chairs, and floors, as well as ensuring that condiments and supplies are stocked.

Assisting Guests: Attendants assist guests with any additional needs they may have, such as providing recommendations, answering questions about the menu, or accommodating special requests.

Collaborating with Team Members: Attendants work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other restaurant personnel to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role may be beneficial but not always required.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to reach for specific objects at short distances in local working areas.
- On occasion may be required to lift and carry heavy objects, push or pull heavy objects; kneel, bend or stoop, and ascend or descend ladders or stairs.
- Capable of working in a fast paced environment and in stressful situations.
- Must respond to multiple task interruptions and still provide service to internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner.
