Description

Purpose:

To welcome guests to the facility, answer guests’ inquiries, organize scheduling and deal with any customer issues they may have experienced at the end of their stay. Understands all aspects of the facility as well as being the main point of sales for the company. Manages the day-to-day responsibilities associated with accommodating guests' arrivals, departures and requirements in the bathing areas and locker rooms of the spa.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Adhere to all facility operating policies and procedures and scheduling policy.
  • Maintain a high standard of appearance, professionalism, and personal hygiene.
  • Engage with customers in-person and over-the-phone.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs with courtesy and professionalism via Customer Relationship Management(CRM) software.
  • Ensure all designated areas are well stocked (Uniforms, Retail Items, Registers).
  • Perform guest check-ins and check-outs: confirm and manage appointments, ensure payment and proper handling of personal identification.
  • Complete daily opening/closing procedures and check-lists.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Communicate with the facility regarding guest situations and complications.
  • Remain informed about new procedures and marketing promotions.
  • Respond to management communications on Slack. 
  • Monitor guest reviews and encourage guests to leave facility feedback
  • Maintain a neat, tidy, and sanitary space in accordance with the Island Spa Health and Safety standards.
  • Attend quarterly departmental meetings outside of Island Spa operation hours.

Qualifications & Skills


  • Ability to build professional relationships with repeat guests by remembering their names, recognizing them, knowing their individual interests, preferences and needs
  • Ability to defuse stressful situations and keep a calm demeanor
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and make appropriate judgements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Proficient in receptions/reservation systems
  • Ability to drive sales of products and services offered
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast pace work environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays & weekends.  
  • Have reliable transportation to-and-from workplace
  • Minimum Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum Experience : 1 Year previous work-related experience in customer service preferred.


Physical Demands:


  • Occasionally required to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; dexterity required, hand coordination required.
  • Occasionally required to talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to bend, lift or climb.
  • Occasionally required to lift light weights (less than 25 pounds)
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.

  • Exposure to extreme heat/cold.

  • Exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment should remain quiet


Salary

$15.5 - $16.5 per hour
