The Deep Cleaning Technician is responsible for performing detailed, high-standard cleaning and sanitation throughout Island Spa & Sauna. This role focuses on weekly deep cleaning (not routine daily cleaning) of the Bathhouse, Facility common areas, and Laundry operations, ensuring the spa meets the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and guest experience. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, safe chemical handling, and a strong understanding of spa hygiene standards.

Description

Bathhouse Deep Cleaning Tasks

Responsible for thorough scrubbing, descaling, calcium removal, sanitizing, and detailing of all wet and high-humidity areas inside the Bathhouse. 


Facility Deep Cleaning Tasks

Responsible for detailed cleaning, floor care, furniture sanitation, and wood maintenance throughout guest and staff areas.


Laundry & Back-of-House Deep Cleaning

Responsible for maintaining hygiene, organization, and equipment cleanliness in laundry operations.


Organization & Documentation

  • Organize laundry overstock
  • Small Towel Count
  • Large Towel Counts
  • Uniform Counts
  • Organize mix-match shelving
  • Update laundry waste log accurately

Standards & Expectations

  • Follow all Island Spa & Sauna cleaning protocols
  • Use approved cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
  • Maintain guest privacy and professionalism at all times
  • Complete tasks thoroughly—no visible buildup, residue, or odors
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to Deep clean Manager
  • Meet assigned timelines without sacrificing quality

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and scrub for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (laundry, mats, equipment)
  • Comfortable working in hot, humid environments
  • Comfortable possibly getting wet while working in Bathhouse

Ideal Qualifications

  • Previous spa, hospitality, or facility deep-cleaning, or housekeeping experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and follow checklists
  • Knowledge of sanitation and housekeeping best practices is a plus


Deep cleaning shifts scheduled during off-peak or closed hours on Wednesday nights at 11:00pm - 3:00am.



Salary

$21 - $21 per hour
