The IRONCLAD Experience
Most film internships involve sitting in a remote home office or running coffee for a crew that doesn't know your name. This is not that (except for maybe the coffee part...)
Location: 100% On-Site at the IRONCLAD HQ in Virginia Beach
Workload: Administrative; Pre Production
Mentorship: Direct Direction from In-House Producers
Impact: Your prep helps drive the Production
Terms & Compensation
- Duration: Up to 12 weeks (Summer Series).
- Commitment: 10–12 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is a non-monetary position. Compensation is provided in the form of valuable hands-on experience, professional mentorship, and portfolio building.
- College Credit: We will gladly work with your institution to provide College Credits where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Coordination
- Pre-Pro Documents: Assist in building the "shoot bible," including guest dossiers, shot lists, and detailed production briefs.
- Booking Assistance: Support producers in securing locations, additional crew, specialized talent, and gear rentals.
- Meeting Immersion: Attend pre-production meetings, take detailed notes, and ensure all action items are tracked and executed.
- Producer Support: Work side-by-side with in-house producers to manage the daily logistics of a high-speed production calendar.
AI + Workflow Optimization
- Research Acceleration: Use AI tools to generate guest research, draft pitch outlines, and build comprehensive dossiers faster.
- Logistics Tech: Help the team utilize project management tools to streamline the "concept-to-camera" pipeline.
Required Proficiencies
Tools & Software
- Google Workspace: Expertise in Docs and Sheets is essential for building briefs and tracking logistics.
- Project Management: Familiarity with Monday.com and communication platforms like Google Chat/iMessage.
- The "Sponge" Factor: You must be able to take direct direction from producers and pivot your prep as the shoot evolves.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Punctual & Reliable: Committed to being on-site and ready to prep during scheduled studio hours.
- Obsessive Detail: You catch the scheduling conflict or the missing gear item before it becomes a problem on set.
