ACCOUNTS DIRECTOR

IRONCLAD | Virginia Beach, VA (On-site)


THE ROLE

We are hiring an Account Director to own client relationships and drive execution across all active projects.


This is not a “client success” role.

This is a business + production ownership role.


You will be the single point of accountability from deal close → delivery → renewal.


If something is off-track, it is yours to fix.



WHAT YOU’LL OWN

1. Client Ownership

  • Primary point of contact for all clients
  • Lead all communication with clarity, confidence, and IRONCLAD conviction
  • Set expectations early and enforce scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Run weekly client check-ins and executive summaries

2. Project Execution

  • Own every project from activation → delivery
  • Translate sold scope into real production timelines
  • Ensure all deliverables hit on time, on budget, within scope
  • Drive internal teams (creative, production, ops) to execute


3. Account Spine Leadership

  • Work directly with:
  • Head of Sales
  • Line Producer / COGS Manager
  • Production Lead/Consultant
  • Global Creative Director
  • Keep all stakeholders aligned and accountable
  • Run internal CCIVR meetings (Creative + Internal Review)


4. Scope + Margin Protection

  • Enforce scope discipline — no silent creep
  • Flag risks early (timeline, budget, creative misalignment)
  • Partner with ops to ensure COGS targets (~20%) are maintained


5. Reporting + Visibility

  • Own project status inside Project Management Program
  • Maintain clear timelines, next milestones, and owners
  • Deliver weekly executive summaries internally and externally

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5–10+ years in account management, production, or agency leadership
  • You have run complex creative or production projects before
  • You understand how to balance client needs vs execution reality
  • You are highly organized and obsessed with deadlines
  • You communicate with clarity, authority, and zero fluff
  • You are comfortable pushing back on clients when needed
  • You thrive in fast-moving, high-output environments


Bonus if:

  • Experience in film, media, or content production
  • Experience managing multiple high-budget projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with tools like Monday.com or similar systems


WHAT WILL NOT WORK

  • Passive communicators
  • People who avoid hard conversations with clients
  • “Project coordinators” who need constant direction
  • Anyone who cannot manage both people + production simultaneously
