iP-Plus Consulting is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer 1 to support an upcoming Federal cybersecurity technology program. This role supports enterprise information assurance engineering activities across cybersecurity tools and platforms, including web application firewalls, governance and compliance systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and enterprise log management capabilities. The Cybersecurity Engineer will provide technical support for the planning, design, development, integration, testing, and sustainment of cybersecurity technologies used within a large Federal mission environment.
Cybersecurity Engineer 1 performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized cybersecurity problems. Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to cybersecurity requirements. Analyzes information security requirements. Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning. Provides security engineering support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, integration of information systems.
Minimum Experience:
Baseline certification - candidate must possess one of the following certifications: CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), Cloud+, CySA+, PenTest+, and Security+
Baseline certification - candidate must possess one of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), ISC2 SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), GIAC Certifications such as GSEC, GCIH, or GICSP
Note: Higher-level or advanced certifications mapped to Role 441 (such as CCNP, CCSP, or SecurityX/CASP+) also satisfy the intermediate requirement.
